Manychat earned its position. It was early on Instagram automation, its flow builder is mature, and its free tier is generous. If you run a global brand with a marketing team, it may still be the right pick. For a seller in India it has three recurring problems.
The three problems
- Billing in dollars by card. Every month the rupee amount changes, many Indian debit cards fail on international recurring charges, and there is no UPI.
- No GST tax invoice. If you claim input credit, a foreign receipt does not work.
- Contact-based pricing. The Pro plan price climbs with the number of people you have ever messaged, so a viral reel raises your bill.
What to look for instead

Most Indian players started on WhatsApp and added Instagram later: AiSensy, Interakt, Wati, Gallabox, Zoko, DoubleTick and BotPenguin among them. They are strong if WhatsApp is your main channel and you want Instagram as an add-on. Their pricing usually starts higher because it bundles WhatsApp conversation fees.
